Friday, May 30th, 2008Bad Bad Karma
Friday, May 30th, 2008I have friends in China. They are working hard to help the people affected by the powerful earthquake that has killed tens of thousands of people and destroyed countless homes and lives. China is a powerful nation but it is made up of a billion individuals that are all trying to pull together for a common good over this natural disaster. People are suffering. This is a major human relief effort around a serious natural disaster. The last thing these volunteers need is a “has been” Hollywood starlet to be commenting on their efforts or the reason for the suffering of these families in need. This comment will kill her career in China and the international market is about the only place Sharon Stone still “sells”. I am not surprised at all by the Chinese reaction to her comments. Imagine if someone equated ”karma” to what happened to the people in New Orleans over Hurricane Katrina. Despicable.
Fun New Site
Friday, May 30th, 2008Tatiana Platt, a former AOL exec and a good friend, is one of the founders of this fun new site called FameGame. It is a very targeted social network: a bit of a gossip site; a bit of a social network; and a bit of a local celeb site all mashed up into one nice user interface. Check it out.

Mad Mike’s Wikipedia Entry
Friday, May 30th, 2008I had forgotten about the shoe incident at Madison Square Garden and the quote about the village idiot. The comment about hair gel is tame, if lame, in comparison.
AO on NBC
Friday, May 30th, 2008Got to admit, any one of our bloggers could have done a much better interview with Alex than these two members of the mainstream media. What a silly interview to conduct on national television! Don’t you agree?
Just Get Rid of Motorcycles
Friday, May 30th, 2008They aren’t safe. Many athletes have ruined their careers or been killed in accidents riding on them. Athletes sometimes feel the need for speed but the truth is motorcycles, in the hands of an inexperienced rider, are quite dangerous. This is such a tragedy. Our hearts and prayers go out to Luc’s family and to his teammates.
