Hey Paul, maybe they were sold out of the AO stuff…no one wants the Crosby stuff which is why it was still on the shelves!
(Hey, I can dream, can’t I?)
Sad part is that the NHL remains clueless. Was up in NYC and stopped in the NHL Store on 6th Ave. Crosby jerseys, Crosby T-Shirts, Crosby action figures, you name it, they had it. But for AO, nothing except a replica jersey. No MVP T-shirts, no regular T’s, no action figures. When will Bettman and his yes-men recognize that you can’t manufacture stars — the public knows the real deal when they see it, and AO is the real deal.
One thing I am sure of, and that is when the Caps play in the Cup Finals the next time, there won’t be thousands of fans there rooting for the opposing team…
I still cannot forgive Abe Pollin and Susan O’Malley for selling all those tickets to Mickey Redmond travel in Detroit…
