Ted, the OFB folks always do a credible job with their stories. Generally, I find them much better than the mainstream media. The story you take umbrage with was authored by one of the OFB crew. Just as is the case with any mainstream media story, some like what they read and some don’t.
The upside to the Theodore signing is we should have the cash for Semin/Backstrom 2 years from now. By then, we should also have an idea if one of our youngsters is ready for the prime time.
With the CBA, every team (with exception of the Red Wings) has some apparent holes in their lineups.
The Caps will be good again next year – Theodore will be here from the start of training camp, the coaching staff will be intact, and the great majority of the team will be the same one that ended last season.
You and George have done a great job.
