Hahaha - Aren’t They Funny?

Isn’t this great journalism? The Examiner as an enterprise and the newspaper industry as a whole should be so proud. This is true Pulitzer Prize material. Congratulations.

As someone once said, “Nero fiddles while Rome burns.”

Pretty terrible…these guys obviously know nothing about hockey or the Caps recent resurgence. I live in Baltimore and am a lifelong Caps fan…you might find it interesting to know that the Examiner is delivered for free to everyone in my neighborhood here in B’more. Needless to say (long before this article) myself and many of my neighbors called the Examiner and requested that they stop delivering to us…total waste of paper.

  2. Alex says:

They have to fantasize about supposed Washington misgivings because Baltimore has too many for one article.

  3. Nathan Hays says:

I hate that the whole “Baltimore vs. DC” thing has to be perpetuated by a useless article like this one.

I don’t know what’s worse, the fact that two writers with basically the same points of view had to combine forces to create this piece of garbage, or the lame inside joke style sucker punches that they take at each other throughout their “count down.”

Like Dan says, the Examiner is a piece of crap. I’m moving from north of Baltimore to Piney Orchard in two weeks. I think I may use this free newspaper as packing cushion. That’s about all it’s good for.

  4. Joe says:

Ted, I agree that the article is absolutely stupid. So why do you give such nonsense more visibility by putting it on your blog?

  5. Jeffrey says:

The Express (I won’t say the Washington Examiner-same company-based in Baltimore) should run something similiar about Baltimore. Shouldn’t be hard, I could fill a list just by focusing on how Peter Angelos ruined the Orioles.

Just for giggles I actually looked up the definition of examiner: to inspect or scrutinize carefully. If this witless non-repartee is what we can expect of the “new” examiner, the publishers should definitely re-think their columnist choices. I grew up in Northern Virginia, went to Landover to see Caps games at The Caps Center, Baltimore to see the O’s play in Memorial Stadium, I love the Terps and GMU. Of course, my dad actually paid for all those games and I pay for most of them now. Hey guys, since you’re such miserable DC sports fans, I’m happy to take those free tickets off your hands.

Thanks for posting, Ted. I think it’s impossible to genuinely appreciate the good columnists if you don’t see the depths of idiocy to which some aspire.
