I met Sombrero Guy at the Fan Fest on Saturday. He is a great guy. I believe he was with his mom and his sister. We had a nice chat in the elevator. He even asked for my autograph and had my picture ready to be signed on an autograph card, which is always so flattering to me. Nice to meet you Sombrero Guy!
URBAN SOMRERO!
On that note, thanks for signing my wife’s sweater in the parking garage, it made her day. And sorry if she scared you by whipping her car into a spot like the kidnappers in Ransom. We are looking forward to using our new season tickets!
Yes the urban sombrero!
Hey Ted,
It’s kinda interesting that someone introduced themselves to you as “Sombrero Guy” as I’m a good friend of his and he was on the Eastern Shore all weekend… unable to make it to Kettler.
Although this gentleman apparently represented Brandon (THE Sombrero Guy) well, it looks as if you’ve run into a case of mistaken identity.

Ted – You have been had! The real sombrero guy (we met briefly at training camp last season and got a photo) was unable to make fanfest due to family obligations (grandmother’s 88th birthday). I heard from friends that several imposters were milling about. Glad to see they were friendly though.

Apparently imitated, but never duplicated.
