Double-edged Sword
Friday, July 18th, 2008We are pleased to be the host city for the NCAA Frozen Four but the booking of that event did come with a cost. We have a longer trip on the road at the end of the season than we wanted but so do many other teams in the NHL. We won’t complain. We are happy for our fans that championship collegiate hockey is finally coming to the district.
Creating a schedule in a building that hosts more than 250 events per year is an art and a science. There is a lot of work that goes into it; a lot of give and take. Both leagues both have to be coordinated while concert promoters and Georgetown basketball all have to weigh in.
Overall, I think everyone does a great job and does the best we can with the windows of availability. I am happy with the schedule.
