It is always difficult to make a coaching change but the ownership and leadership group at the Washington Mystics believed this change was in the team’s best interest. We thank Tree Rollins for his contributions to our team and now look forward to finding a plan and staff that can work for the long term for our franchise.
Our team is not playing up to its potential and we have to regroup. No time like the present to start this process and reach our goals.

i happened to have some business involvement with wayne tree rollins a number of years ago. tree was a first class guy with me, and i wish him well in the future. i especially hope he finds his way back to the nba.
