What’s funny is that someone once did a break down of how much a hockey player plays during the season. Suppose we take a superstar player (Alex Ovechkin) and figure he plays about 22 minutes a game. It means he plays about 1804 minutes, which is a little over 30 hours. So all the training, all the effort, all to get 30 hours of AO skating, hitting shooting, and scoring in the regular season.
