Thank you – nice piece. I obviously agree with the writer.

The Caps have been making all the right moves since the “Meeting” in early 2004 when the decision was made to jettison the entire Poile regime… and now the Caps have come full circle, and the team is ready to go out and win, and win a lot.
I bet if you ask 100 season ticket holders which player on the Caps roster has been here the longest, probably less than 30% would say Boyd Gordon… but they’d be right…
All great coments. My only problem is Huet. Hes not the golie that can back you to a stanley cup and the choice of Theodore should have been first. Yes Theodore has been scetchy but has been returning to form year by year since the lockout. The number of shots he’ll face will drop since the puck will spend most of its time in the opposite end with the offence they have. And we know how he is on break aways which he’ll face alot. Look at his shoot out record. He will stop the ones hes supposed to and thats what Huet didnt do. He lets weak goals in then has to stand on his head to keep the team in it. Detroit has Osgood who is past his prime and cant make the saves he used to but HE STOPS THE ONES HE SHOULD. The team does the rest. If Theodore can hold a 2.0 GAA he’ll hoist the cup in D.C. while Huet will struggle with the pressure of a contract that he cant live up to.
