Step away from the theater - careful - it is that bad. What a lazy way to make a film: say the F word a lot; act like a kid; and cry and fart. There are about ten minutes of good moviemaking and fun in this film. It would be better on “Funny or Die” for free and even then, I would have been disappointed. Bad film - bad filmmaking.

I disagree, there is a time and place for a no brainer comedy. I was cracking up at some of the stuff in this movie. The only thing that bugs me about Step Brothers is that it is once again following the tiring trend of male body parts for laughs. I don’t find it funny and while it gets people talking, it’s not comedy. Other than that I enjoyed Step Brothers for what it is. A simple comedy.
