It actually feels like Obama is running a campaign for re-election now! He is actually now our sitting President.
If Hillary Clinton was considered ”inevitable” then Obama is “ordained”, at least by mainstream media.
I bought Rolling Stone magazine. I have never seen a cover like that one before. I get People magazine at home and there is the Obama family on the cover. Every channel leads with an Obama story. How can he not win?
Yet today, I was at a breakfast and one of the gentleman who happens to be a Republican operative made mention, ”This isn’t about words and pictures, Ted. It’s about math.” He didn’t think the election is over.
I won’t tell you who I think will win but I do believe the media has spoken by its acts - and coverage – but that some people believe that math will win out. Time will tell but this will be the most interesting election that I can remember. Read this story.
You know what bothers me about this. The media shouldnt be the ones deciding this election!!!!! INFORMED AMERICANS are supposed to decide the election. The problem is were do you go to get informed. Main stream media and network news are as corrupt as the government they reports on. In this nazi comunistic america, if you question your government you are un american and if you do it in the media you get fired to boot. Ask all the radio jocks that got fired after the war started for speaking out about it. Look at the Dixi Chicks. They spoke out aginst what they new at the time was a farce of a war and it almost cost them there carriers. Now look back at what they said and they were spot on. Thomas Jefferson said that decention is the greatest form of patriotism. A questioned government is an honest government. To question our elected leaders who we pay mind you was what our founding fathers based this government on. If they saw us now they would be on the front line starting another revolution. A famous nazi said no matter what type of government you have, the leaders make policy. The people stair blind as its leaders use fear to herd them like cattle in any direction they need them. and the ones that question the leaders are denounced as un patriotic. Whos idealism do we seem to be following? We went into a sovern nation based on a lie, overthrew the government and took it over. Wasnt that what Hitler did? All this and the fact that our vote dosnt even count if you believe the deception in the last election and at the end of the day what does it matter what the media says, the Presidentcy is up for grabs to the highest bidder anyway.
Reporting from the LEFT coast. If Obama wins, this country will suffer the worst post electoral hangover on record. He is ahead because he has no record. He is everything to everyone, but when it comes time to govern, watch out. Each decision will be met with disgust as he begins to offend someone who thought he believed as they do. Just look at his stance on Iraq. It began as a get out immediately and come home plan, to a get out of Iraq, and move into Afghanistan plan. What will opinion be when they learn the troops are not coming home, just moving one war over?
If the “mainstream” media voted for all of us, we would be the biggest, left-wing, socialist country in the world. I can see your enthusiasm for his candidacy. Quite frankly, why? “Just words … just speeches … and a huge ever-increasing burden on future generations.” That about sums up his attempt to remake himself. The media is making Obama because they are allowing him, unchecked, to take any side of any issue he wishes without challenge or repercussion. They can bring him down in the same manner.
I said it before. We are sorely lacking real leadership for the time in which we live. Obama is not the answer. Neither is McCain. One choice is better than the other.
Hot off the presses and quite to the contrary: http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-onthemedia27-2008jul27,0,2066363,full.story
“The Center for Media and Public Affairs at George Mason University, where researchers have tracked network news content for two decades, found that ABC, NBC and CBS were tougher on Obama than on Republican John McCain during the first six weeks of the general-election campaign.
You read it right: tougher on the Democrat.
During the evening news, the majority of statements from reporters and anchors on all three networks are neutral, the center found. And when network news people ventured opinions in recent weeks, 28% of the statements were positive for Obama and 72% negative.
Network reporting also tilted against McCain, but far less dramatically, with 43% of the statements positive and 57% negative, according to the Washington-based media center.”
As for Nas, he delivered a 600k+ signature petition with colorofchange.org & moveon.org protesting this:
“Over the last several weeks, FOX has had a string of incidents that many believe are a veiled attempt to prey on racism and intolerance and cast the Obamas as “outsiders”: an on-screen graphic referred to Mrs. Obama as “Obama’s baby mama,” a pundit “confused” Obama with Osama and then joked they should both be assassinated, and an anchor called a loving fist bump between Barack and Michelle a “terrorist fist jab.” In February, Bill O’Reilly talked about calling a “lynching party” to deal with Michelle.”
I’m don’t see what is radical about finding that conduct offensive. If you don’t agree with them, that is one thing, but radical?
This country would be better off without the O’Reilly influenced labels.
yes – the fair and balanced media have trumpeted out Obama…soft ball questions in interviews and speeches, gushing over his charisma, and just tonight I saw how a radical side of move-on.org is protesting Fox News using rapper Nas as it’s spokeperson – who actually has a song on his new album all about how fox news is bad.
I wonder if you could make a song and get it air time if you slammed the NY Times or some other left leaning bleeding heart media.
