Kicking It Re-airs Tonight on ESPN2

If you missed the premiere last night, Kicking It will be rebroadcast at 10:00 pm EST this evening on ESPN2.

It is an interesting experience to watch a film on commercial television. I thought our movie showed very well but commercial interruptions do play with the flow of the film and the ticker on the bottom of the screen is a bit of a distraction.

That being said, to have ESPN broadcast this film worldwide on cable television is truly a thrill and an honor.

  1. ted —like you said it was great to see the film get exposure on espn, which exposure is certainly the biggest audience it can get in the u.s.(maybe you can let us know tne numbers when you find out).

as for the commercials i used my dvr and fast forwarded…..but for the record, should espn ever ask, i watched every commercial—twice

the ticker on the bottom of the screen is a problem, but one simply must adjust.

on the other hand tickers and espn larger scrolls, station logos etc., are sometimes so big that they obliterate the very hilites espn or other stations are attempting to show. this is something that has bothered me for years, but i guess self promotion and advertising now trumps clear pictures. for another similar example check out a classic hockey game from the seventies, where there were no board or ice ads.
