You Got a Friend..

The Capitals care about you Capital Spirit. Verizon Center wouldn’t be the same without you. Don’t let a couple of folks on the message boards get you down.

Here is a formal invite to come and hang out with me and some of my friends in the box this season. Be well. The clock is ticking. Almost time for the season to start. See you soon. Go Caps!

PS - No one goes out to eat burritos at 4:00 am. That is all marketing hype. :-)

True, no one ever goes out for burritos at 4 AM…at least when I was in college. At 4 AM, the only thing open was Nick Tahou’s Red Hots in downtown Rochester, NY… and there you could get a Garbage Plate. It feautred 2 cheeseburgers, fries, bread, baked beans, macaroni salad (everything in Rochester comes with Mac Salad…no idea why to this day…) and then on top of the whole thing, they pour spicy oil and grease…

The thing looks vile, but is actually quite tasty, although it is of dubious nutritional value.

At 4 AM though, after being up all night studying, it was something to energize with and stay awake in your 8 AM class…

And Spirit, if you want, come by section 421, Row A. We’ll make you feel welcome.

Hey Capital Spirit don’t forget that the internet brings folks of the same stripe together. I bet if you spent some time looking around the blogosphere you’d find lots of people who share the religious/spiritual beliefs you do, and in turn, you’ll find plenty of friends. Given the cosmopolitan nature of DC, I bet some of those people would be local to you, and Caps fans to boot.

Burritos are typically 2AM at the latest, because that is when Taco Bell closes, and 4th meal ends.

I admit, I’ve gone to Taco Bell around that time on day :x

I’ve considered you as a friend for at least a year.
Don’t sweat the small stuff. Relax and keep smiling.

Nick Tahou’s! Many a night my friends and I went there from SUNY Brockport. Garbage plates. Wow that takes me back.
