SportingNews Fantasy Hockey on Caps

We won’t be underdogs. Everyone will be gunning for us. The media is watching. The expectations are high. Yep, although all things considered, I think as fans we all like this situation better than being disrespected and NOT considered a contender, right? Please read this article to see what I mean.

  1. Hello Mr. Leonsis:
The Capitals certainly will not be underdogs! The quote below is part of another recent article about the Capitals that is on your web-blog. It says: “Ted Leonsis is the type of owner that every NHL team deserves. He is passionate about the game and completely dedicated to giving his team all the tools that they need to win.”

Does this apply to the Mystics as well as the Capitals?

You have extraordinary vision and passion, as does Sheila Johnson. But, I see two potential Achilles heels in the execution of a “Championship Formula”, which makes me wonder if these areas might be getting overlooked. They can not only dramatically elevate the performance of your players, but can also impact the long-term health and vitality of your organization.

I will be at the DC Rotary Meeting you will be speaking at tomorrow (Wed. Oct 1) as a guest. I will do my best to at least introduce myself before you leave.

I would love the opportunity to explain this and provide you and Ms. Johnson with information and connections to people who can provide your players and coaches with tools that could very well be missing links in sealing the deal for creating Championship Teams in DC, AND making Champion individuals that are “Built to Last”. As a former National Champion in basketball and current National Champion and internationally competitive athlete, I would like nothing more than to help create a championship franchise here in DC.

    Leave no stone unturned.
Turn your team’s weaknesses into strengths and strengths into weapons while setting new standards for the rest of the professional sports world.

  2. I thought that the pre-season games were going to be broadcast video on-line in the DC market? If you’re going to broadcast, where is it???

  3. I have one problem with the artical. This isant the most talented team weve seen in a long time. Its the most talanted weve ever seen. When have the Caps hit the ice with 3 scoring lines. Even the cup run Caps were no match for the talant this team is packin.
