I don’t know the particulars of what happened here but I do know that I have been upset at times with the MSM and haven’t been able to escort them out of the building or tell them they aren’t welcomed back even though that was how I may have felt. :-) The NHL needs a big tent when it comes to coverage. We need to embrace new media and be the leaders in developing affiliates and a network that talks about our sport, our teams and our players.
We welcome bloggers to the Caps press room - always have and always will - but decorum and professionalism is mandatory. See Eric’s Bill of Rights that we developed many years ago. Still spot on today.

Another reason to show that Edmonton management doesn’t get it. Their crazy offer sheets for starters and now this. I bet Michael Nylanders is having a chuckle over this and is glad he chose to come back to DC.
If the Edmonton Oilers keep spraying the acid around, pretty soon they’ll find themselves isolated in the NHL and who knows, they may end up becoming the Oklahoma City Oilers, or the Kansas City Roughriders before long…
