Erskine has been one of the dependable commodities in recent weeks for the Caps. However, is $1.25 million per season for two more years for a 5th or 6th or possibly even a 7th dman justifiable when we can’t find room for our 2007 No. 1 pick because of salary and the cap conceivably taking its first contraction next year? This was a 127% increase in salary. We could have shown JE a little “less love” and still loved him.
This might also indicate that Poti and Morrisonn are overpaid relative to their expected and realized contributions. Sarge is going to want a decent raise too … Hmm …
