After 15 games each, the Washington Capitals have the exact same record; same points accumulated; same amount of goals scored; and same amount of goals let it as the Pittsburgh Penguins with Semin and Malkin #1 and #2 in points for individual players.
Don’t know what it means but it just seemed spooky to me.
Weird, but interesting…. the teams are somewhat similar in that they have lots up front, some difficulties in the back line at times and good goaltending. They both have great coaches, training staff, and each have several all-stars in the line-up.
What I find interesting is that it seems that everything Crosby does in one year, Ovie does one better in the following year.
In 2005 Crosby is picked # 1….Ovie is rookie of the year
In 2006, Crosby wins the scoring title and the MVP award. In 2007 Ovie wins the scoring title, the Richard Trophy and the MVP.
In 2007 Crosby goes to the Finals and loses…
Only one thing better than getting to the Finals and losing….When they asked “is this the year?…well, why isn’t it the year?
This is a sign from the gods that the Caps must play better, faster and stronger than ever before and CRUSH THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS OUT OF THE PENS every time they play them.
