Here is a very thought provoking piece. Will people boycott Sundance because of its locale? Check out this article. What are your thoughts?
I think the fact that in this day and age, where there are VERY REAL problems facing humanity, something as trivial as who loves who with what rights, is important enough for a church to devote THAT kind of money towards is sickening. Aren’t churches supposed to help people? Couldn’t that money have gone somewhere useful. Until we stop hating people because they are different in this country, we will not move forward. Barack Obama’s election was a HUGE step in the right direction, but he is a christian man, married to a woman, with 2 kids and he’s getting a puppy. If he weren’t black he’d just be a another slick politician (Don’t misread me, I like the guy a lot). This country prides itself on freedom and liberty, yet restricts it at every possible turn. We have a long way to go, hopefully the next 8 years can be made of increasing the liberty and justice of all Americans.
