And the local fans stuffed the boxes via a web-based robotic call-in software program? And six starters were from Nashville?
I am sure this Canadian writer would be as equally upbeat on the process. Don’t you agree? :-)

ted–on the contrary this writer is being sarcastic and is making fun of what the allstar game has become.
btw the writer….Eric Duhatschek is a well respected veteran Canadian sports journalist. i believe Duhatschek won the 2001 Elmer Ferguson Memorial Award for distinguished hockey journalism and is a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame, for which he is also on the selection committe…he is also from western canada and writes for a toronto based paper which means, if he has any bias, it is against the habs.
Wow, what a great commentary/observation. Every day when I go place my two votes for OV, Semin, Backstrom (write in); Green; Poti (write in) and one each for Johnnie and Theodore, I look at the current results and shake my head. There are truly times when “nice” sarcasm is a great way to make a point and get a chuckle. This was one of those perfect times and comments. Thanks again for a) fielding a great team and organization; b) making Caps game day experiences so great and c) putting yourself out there when you don’t have to.
LETS GO CAPS!!!!!!!
You know, Puck Daddy (great blog at Yahoo Sports) made the same analogy, only using Atlanta…
The Habs *are* a good hockey team and should have multiple players in the All-Star Game, but not a full starting squad…
Whatever happened to voting for the players having the best first-half, and not just voting for the hometown squad?
