I said it before the season began.. this is the deepest Caps team I've ever seen. It may also be the strongest team as well. From what I've seen so far in the Eastern Conference (thanks to Center Ice, I've seen all the teams a few times) the Caps look like the best in the East. Only Montreal, Buffalo, and Boston look to be in the same class. Pittsburgh might be there if they get some healthy defensemen.

Out West, San Jose has been very impressive so far, but they're one injury (Joe Thornton) away from being one of the lead pack as opposed to the leader of the pack. There are many more good teams in the West, and no really horrible teams, such as the Islanders in the East...

If the Caps play to their capability and there aren't any dramatic injuries, it is very possible that this could be THE YEAR, and the Stanley Cup comes to DC.

Ted,
Saw the trailer for a good movie on hockey. http://www.pondhockeymovie.com/
Teleported me back to growing up in Northern Minnesota, and a flooded backyard, playing one on one until it was too dark to see. Hockey at it's best.
GO CAPS in LA !!
