Wow. Any union that gets strident and threatens to strike right now won’t get a whole lot of sympathy from consumers or people in the industry. Now is the time to create creative partnerships and create empathetic relationships between one another.
Athletes, actors, directors and any and all high paid groups that are represented by a union must thread a needle right now to get what they want but in a manner that is non-confrontational and one that is relevant to audiences and consumers and the media.
I think this union has a tin ear right now. The world is ending; jobs are being lost everywhere; and a union is threatening to strike. I doubt this move will work out in these hard times.
i could care less about hollywood and all of its overpaid, overpampered, whiny degenerates.
I had to take a breather from watching CNN & The Business Channel because I too thought the world was ending. In fact that was the EXACT question I asked my husband a few times. I am a union person from way back. Plenty of stories. In Fact my grandfather was shot and killed many many many years ago and it had something to do with organizing unions or union business, I never did get the full story. Anyway to even utter the word STRIKE tells me it’s not just “The CEOs” who are out of touch. Are people really that self absorbed? Don’t they see there is something very wrong with this economy. What exactly the problem is and how to solve it, I don’t know. BUT the ripple effect could be devastating!!! So Teddy bring us some wine and good times! We are always wishing you, your family and The CAPS well. Happy, Healty, Thanksgiving! LETS GO CAPS!!!
Actors. LMAO! Most of them left wing liberal nuts, they don’t have a clue about how the real world works. I hope they do go on strike, I have plenty of Barney Miller and Taxi reruns to watch!
Unions always seem to be whining about something…. right Joe Reekie??
