Thanksgiving Week

This has been one of the toughest years in memory. We are all faced with our own personal gut checks and have to focus on our own personal good news and personal growth instead of burying our heads in the sands of fear and loathing.

So I am doing my own gut check and writing down everything I am grateful for from this last year. I encourage all of you to do likewise and perhaps even post some of your notes here on my blog.

I also encourage you all to take my “Happiness Questionnaire” too if you haven’t already. It is here on my blog.

So all week be grateful and be thankful for what matters. Think about it. Write it down. Thank you. And remember, ”It’s only money!”

  1. From this past year, I have been reminded on a daily basis that I am thankful that I married a woman smarter than myself. Her smart gene seems to have been pasted to our 4 year old son who is already reading at nearly a first grade level. I feel my wife and my son are the reason for my being and am thankful for each day I awake and draw breath.

  2. I am thankful for a healthy happy child I was told I could never have.

I am thankful for the knowledge that neither she nor I will ever spend a night on a street, sleep in our car or wonder where our next meal is.

In these hard times (and after 9 months of unemployment) I am blessed beyond measure, because I have the family and friends to ensure my confidance in our never being without a roof over our heads.

I remind myself of that every time I look at the bank account I am currently rebuilding.

People not money makes this world worth living in.

    Happy Holidays to all.

  3. The “Describe your higher calling” question in the survey forces you to answer even if you choose “no” indicating you don’t have one.

  4. Health. Age 47 next month and in July I was diagnosed with Type II diabetes. Instead of a woe is me attitude, I decided to try to kick its a$$ by revamping my diet and exercise, exercise and more exercise. Result after three plus months, my A1C dropped from 11.5 to 5.5 and my weight dropped by 20 pounds. BP, cholesterol are normal. I’m thankful I listened to my doctor.
