It is professional sports. We have to fight through it. We can’t feel sorry for ourselves. Injuries and bad luck are just a part of the game.
The injuries make for opportunities for young and new players alike to shine and to show us what they can do.
We just finished our best November in a long, long time. We are in first place in our division and we played 15 games in 30 days in which we were truly shorthanded. It is a testament to the team we have built that we have come out of the month in decent shape in the standings. But we start up a new month tonight and again without a large part of our corp group of players. We have to focus on all of the little things as a team to get results. We can’t take for granted anything as we can no longer rely on our talent to overtake an opponent.
Wish us well and good health. At some point our team will be back together and fully functioning. But for tonight, we need to forget about our woes and focus on playing well as a team and as a unit against a rejuvenated Florida team that always plays us tough. Hope to see you at the game. This one isn’t televised so please don’t email me in complaint of that fact. There is nothing we can do about it locally.
Very well said! I’m proud of this team’s accomplishments this past month, and I’m looking forward to an even better next month!
Also, I just sent my complaint to Versus about tonight’s game not being televised.
Tonight’s game isn’t televised, but if you want to see it, get off your duff and get to the Phone Booth.
Besides, the best place to see Caps games is the Booth…
