I received a blistering email today from a “long time and avid fan”, his words not mine. In it, he says he watched last night’s game on TV and was so terribly disappointed in our play; our goaltending; our lack of hitting; and how we need to trade this player and that player for this player and that player.
The email ranted on and on.
I have just responded to him and asked him how he saw the game on TV when it wasn’t televised.
Relax Ben, it was just a question.
Thank you, I needed the LOL!
You rock Ted
GO CAPS
ted,
as a bears season ticket holder, and a caps fan, all i got to say is thanks for everything you and your staff has done. it took a while but we’re finally seeing the results of YOUR way to do within the org., you put a winner on the ice every year in hershey that weve been with the caps, and now you have a winner on the ice in dc. id just ignore these idiots that just hoped on the bandwagon from last year that know absolutly nothing about the organization, or the players. again thanks for all youve done for hershey and the caps!
Teddy
Put that e-mail address in as SPAM. Or, just delete it! Let’s Go Caps!!!!!!!!!!
how many times does it need to be said to some of you all??
THE GAME WAS NOT ON TV ANYWHERE LAST NIGHT. NOWHERE. NOT IN CANADA, NOT IN THE US.
Versus had exclusivity last night so the game could only been seen from Verizon Center. go check out the highlights in tarik’s blog…the only voice you’ll hear is the Caps radio announcer.
Ted – the guy is definitely a moron. nuff said.
Nope, was not on Center Ice.
hahahahaha WHAT AN IDIOT!!!!!! What is with VS buying the rights to all the games during there timeslot? They should tell the league, teams, and fans what games are going to be broadcasted the week before the game or even a couple of days before it. Then, they should let the local broadcast of the teams that aren’t on VS carry the game and buy back the rights to it. Sorry if that was a little confusing.
im pretty sure it was on nhl center ice
Ted, keep us updated on the response, I want to know what he’s got in his back pocket.
Ted,
Truly, I think you ought to have an administrative assistant read and screen your emails. It’s done all the time in the military and with senior gov’t officials. The executive level staff (General Officers and SeS personnel) do NOT initially open & read their own emails. This is handled by a very capable Executive Officer. You ought to consider the same. Then, you could look at what you needed to and make those replies. I’m not suggesting only read positive emails, but no need at all to read the rants, raves & lunatics.

Ouch. Fan FAIL.
Caps FTW.
LMAO!! Point Ted.
Score: Ted 1, Moron 0
LOL
If brains were dynamite, some people evidently couldn’t blow their noses.
Hang in there, sir. As I myself have been privileged to discover, the quiet fans tend to be the supportive ones.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. Wise ones speak because they have something to say; fools speak because they have to say something. Don’t let a noisy fool or two make you forget the many of us who genuinely want you, and the Capitals, to succeed.
Maybe he was in Canada or watching a Canadian feed? The Versus blackout only applies to the US carriers, right?
Ted,
I would not have even responded to that garbage! You and your staff are doing a wonderful job! Keep up the good work. Injuries are part of the game. Our record this year compared to last year at this point…. says it all really. Considering we had half as many injuries at this point last year. We have a very strong team. Just need to get some players healthy again! That’s My Take anyway!
Paul
Maybe its some new technology for you to invest in….
Pay no attention to it Ted. This guy is obviously full of it. I can only hope that you leave us his email and his original email to you.
BAAAA HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Yeah, I’d like to know how he watched that game on TV – that was my only disappointment (not being able to watch the game) – We’re injured and exhausted and half our D has played more games in the AHL this season than the NHL. I thought it was great that we didn’t give up and almost game back at the end. Please don’t think these morons that email you are representative of the fan base, unfortunately people are far more motivated by negative feelings to write in than they are by neutral or positive feelings.
Did he then respond with a rant about how upset he was that the game wasnt on TV?
I’d have to put this as runner-up to Sean Avery’s Moron Hall of Fame Award, after Plaxico Buress, of course. LOL!
watch out Ted, this guy will probably blame you for not putting it on TV.
Last nights loss was a tough one. First one in regulation at home. On one hand, we are missing 7 guys that are serious contributors. But on the other, it seemed like the guys just weren’t trying hard enough (I was at the game, so I actually saw it). It reminded me of the Wild game where we decided we wanted to win in the last 7 minutes. Same deal last night.
It wasn’t on NHL Center Ice either?
Was it televised in Florida? Seriously though. Ranting maniacs are best ignored. Think positive, with all the injuries the Caps are still in first place and can only improve as people get healthy. I also believe that we shockingly have the longest tenured coach in the SE division now. While it is commendable that we have an owner of our favorite team that is so approachable, well some fans are never happy. We still have our ticket to the dance in our grasp.
hahahaha nice Ted
I second that nomination…
