Bad game. We played with very little energy last night and we really felt the effects of being so shorthanded. We will get it together at practice today and get back at it tomorrow night. Hopefully some of our injured players will start to get worked back into our lineup maybe tomorrow night and then by the weekend.
Ted's Take
That was an UGLY performance Tuesday… no other word to describe it. There was some excitement as the guys rallied to get back in it from 4-1 down with 6 minutes to go, but those were 2 points for the taking. Sure Florida is playing well right now, but the Caps (even with the injuries) are a better team than they are.
If they play with the same enthusiasm and work ethic that they did the last 6 minutes of the last game tonight against the Islanders, I expect a much better result.
Also, if someone said the Caps would be in first place and have a 9-1-1 home record after Dec. 2nd before the season started, I’d say that would be a good thing…
