I care. I care that Richardson is a man who has devoted his life to public service. I care that he has helped negotiations in Korea when he wasn’t the Ambassador to the UN. I care that he has served this country with thoughtful dignity. I care that he has an intrinsic understanding of politics in and out of Washington and yes, I care that he is Hispanic. As a Hispanic woman raising a multicultural child it is extremely important to me that my daughter sees in her leaders a reflection of her heritage. It is something I grew up without and something that I believe matters — so yes I care.
To Ted — If I grow a beard does that get me into the owners box?

as Obama said the other day, he looks much more rugged with. he would also be a fascinating guy to sit down with, so i think the return of the beard would be a win-win.

He NEEDS the beard! WAY TO GO CAPS!!!!
Who cares? It was a purely political appointment to appease one specific constituency (most of whom see right thru it), and because a political favor was owed for support during a crucial time in the primary. Have him in the box or don’t have him there, we don’t care… GO CAPS!
