Fifth Most Points in NHL as of Today, Sunday

We are making progress against our goals. We have established ourselves as a good to very good team in the NHL despite our rash of injuries.

If you want to see something incredible, check out the Bruins and the Sharks goals for and goals against. Now that is an impressive set of stats!

We have miles to go before we sleep to bring our record up on the road but we are a pretty good team at home.

So far, this is the start that the Caps should be looking for. They have a nice lead on the division, and they are moving up in the NHL standings, and soon will be pressuing the Rangers and Boston for the top spot in the conference standings. I still think the Caps will top 110 points and finish first in the east (second overall to San Jose). I also think this year will be a year they go deep in the playoffs, provided the injuries come back to a normal level (3-4 guys out vs. 7 or 8…)
