Let No Good Deed Go Unpunished

Yes, it is true. I have received emails from some of our ”fans” complaining about last night’s practice. The tonality of these emails goes like this…”Why wasn’t I invited and why don’t you do it at this rink which is less than a mile from my house next time?” ”Why didn’t they stay longer as I didn’t get so and so’s autograph?” “Don’t you care about the season? This wasn’t a real practice. It was a fun night and you have lost two games in a row. You are not a real franchise committed to winning a Cup. You should sell the team.”

And on and on.

Will there ever be a thing we do that someone doesn’t complain about? :-)

Most people thought the night was fun. Check out this blog post on the activities.

A Fun Night and Now It is Time to Get Back to Work

Don’t look back; someone might be gaining on you.

Check the standings. We have work to do.

Here comes Florida. Here comes Carolina.

Here comes New Jersey.

Here comes Pittsburgh.

The NHL is a great league with lots of great teams and lots of hungry teams.

We now have to get our playoff race faces on; shake off the past success and focus on our immediate future.

Our coach is a genius at knowing how to manage our team.

Playing outdoor pond hockey last night was the right touch and the right thing to do as he knows it is now time to get serious. We have back to back games. We have division foes taking aim at us. We have a lot of games within the division to play.

I am nervous, optimistic and hopeful all at the same time.
