This should be a fun hockey game, a game between two very talented teams and a game that - I hope – is played in a playoff-like atmosphere.
I don’t need to talk too much about it. Both teams will be ready. The arena will be rocking. We need you to wear red and make it a Red Out please.

You’ve done well with the Capitals, and you’re hearing this from a Flyers fan who kives in DC. Just one complaint about your team: I HATE the jerseys. In fact, I hate most of the new NHL jerseys: too many stripes, and they almost all look alike. The uniforms have become uniform. Ironically, the uniforms that look most unique now are the five Original Six teams – Rangers, Canadiens, Leafs, Red Wings, Blackhawks (Boston’s new jerseys are okay) – that didn’t make drastic changes. I like that the Flyers went back to their original jersey design for their third jersey and I implore you to have the Caps wear a more old-school red jersey for a third jersey next year or the year after (I think you have to give the NHL a year’s notice on uniform changes). The old Caps jersey was simple and classic. I know the Caps are making a ton of money on the new jerseys, but I bet you’d score a profit too on a retro third jersey.
I’m sitting here in my box at the office in my jersey, all ready to go…. hope the weather holds out tonight…
