Room for Improvement

As I have said, we have lots of work left to do.

But in the words of Bill Parcells, “You are what your record says you are.”

We have had a good, crisp first half of the season. I am satisfied but not yet happy.

We want to win a Stanley Cup and we aren’t playing Stanley Cup playoff winning hockey yet although we do seem to get up for big games against great teams.

I wish us good health in the second half of the season. We have played well for having so many players shuttle back and forth into the system.

And I hope we just work hard; don’t take shifts off; and focus on playing as a team with an eye on a big collective goal that we all share in.

Go Caps! Enjoy the few days off and then we all get back to work next week.
