Hey Puck Daddy

Tuesday, February 3rd, 2009

Isn’t it time that you threaded Fanhouse content into your blog?

Or took Japers’ Rink content and placed it as a widget onto your home page?

Or pointed to NHL.com and opened up?

Why not take Offwing Opinion photos and get them all over Yahoo Sports?

Or encourage ESPN message board folks to come on in and take over your comments pages?

What is the issue? Open up - why the silo? Make the tent bigger. It is a lot more fun to share space with rivals. Let the enemies invade the stands. I will point to you if you point to me in your blog roll. Whaddya say?

The Sky is the Limit

Yep - Tim Draper - you are one of a kind! Check out this video.

Tim was an original investor in Redgate Communications, the company I founded and then eventually sold to AOL. Tim was also an investor in Hotmail and Skype.

Tim and I have jumped off a cliff together in Hawaii too. Long story.

The sky is certainly the limit.

“It was Like a Road Game”

Tuesday, February 3rd, 2009

Wow. It happens even in NYC.

Kobe dropped 61 on the Knicks last night. Check out this blog post from the NY Post and the Knick’s coach’s comments.

I remember the game that Michael Jordan returned to Madison Square Garden and scored the double nickel, 55 points, in his second game back from one of his retirements.

Last night’s game was historic - 61 without an asterisk - all done in less than 40 minutes to boot.

We Support Chris Clark

He is our Captain and leader.

He is highly respected by his teammates and the coaching staff and ownership.

He has been playing with an injury all year and it has caught up to him. It is time to take care of it and then have him come back to play when he is 100% healthy. I am hopeful he can come back and give us a lift in the playoffs, too.

We have depth in our lineup. It is better for our team to dress and play healthy players than it is to risk further injury to our captain.

Send Chris your best wishes here via our comments section.

Congratulations to all involved. This is such great news for the industry and a great deal with terrific support from artists and a studio and industry backers. I can’t wait to see this film. Kudos all around. See details here.

For Those of You That Didn’t Notice

We hosted NBC’s Pat Collins and family at the Caps game on Sunday afternoon. I think he is a converted hardcore fan now. :-) He and his family were sporting their red and truly enjoyed the game.

Here is a nice blurb from NBC’s local website too. Go Caps!
