Why?
The corporate studio will make a bunch of money of this, because they will put a bunch of bankable movie stars in it and rate it PG13. Which will result in lots of people going to see it.
Ted, you gotta pull some strings to get Bruce a cameo in this thing!
There is no way a remake can be half as good as the original.
However, for those who want a sequel, Slap Shot 2 is on DVD. Be forewarned, however. It is about 2% as good as the original.
Great, ruin another movie because your movie studio owns the rights to it and it’s cheaper to produce than something original.
boo
How can that be a good thing? Like 99% of remakes, it’ll be horrible. After all, that movie was what it was and still is because of its unique “time and place”, and that can’t be recreated with any semblance of integrity. Like trying to remake Casablanca with George Clooney and Jennifer Anniston.
joe, boudreau in tight leather pants? no thanks.
@Steve:
Ownssssssssssssss Ownssssssssssssss
Dunno if I like the idea of remaking a classic, but if they cast it right, it could work.
Does Bruce get a cameo?!?!??!
Who own da Chiefs?
This can only be bad. Unless Boudreau takes the role as Reg Dunlop.
