Of course everyone thought that swans only came in white until a black swan was found in Australia. Then the rule of only white swans was found to be incorrect. In financial matters the black swan is harder to discover until after the evidence is in. The O’Bama stimulus plan may be the black swan but we won’t know for years. What we do know is that while all of the economic chaos continues our focus must move from discretionary work to work that improves the quality of life for everyone.
