Mr. President – What are You Waiting for?

We need action on this matter of national importance. (See bottom of transcript.)

Consider this an open invitation to see Washington working at its finest. Where citizens are working hand in hand with leadership. A true economic plan that has gelled. A place where change has come!

Come on out to a Capitals game. You deserve to have some fun and to see a winner in Washington!

  5. He should come to the game. The only organization that’s made any progress in this town since 2004 has been the Caps… we’ll show him how it’s done in DC. :D

  6. If we are losing in the third, see if you can get him to do the whole, “pick ourselves up..dust ourselves off,” thing over the PA system.

  7. Ted -

Not the topic at hand here, but I have come to make a plea. PLEASE consider many more 7:30 starts next year! 7:00 starts are ridiculously hard to make it to on time, especially for the majority of your fanbase who do not work or reside in the District.

Seriously… I can’t think of any other topic which is complained about more than this. Thanks for the concideration.

Thank you, in advance, for shifting

  9. I doubt that he checks your blog, Ted. So, if you’re really serious about inviting him to attend a Caps game, write a formal written invitation and send it to the white house :-)

  10. Mr. President,
Please join Ted on the road!! Security at Verizon can’t handle 18,000 rocking the red; adding your security will be bad for people who actually want to get into the arena.

  11. Absolutely! Not only a great idea for Barack to enjoy a game, but also to connect with some great guys and Russia’s most popular sports figure (not that he needs any votes in the 2012 Moscow oblast primary). Also–he’ll get a special kick out of the “O” during the national anthem; you can tell him it’s for him *and* Ovie.
