After 60 Games

The Washington Capitals now have the best record in our history after 60 games played.

That was a big win on national TV in front of a sellout crowd of almost all Capitals fans. Thank you. The building was incredibly loud and passionate. And I bet the RED looked great on HD television!

We needed a win after a tough game against the Avalanche.

We needed two more points to pad our lead in the division.

We love beating great and talented teams on home ice and the Penguins always scare me. We respect them and our games are always very intense.

Thank you NBC and thank you Mike Milbury. He and I met before the game and we “hugged it out” Entourage style.

We now have 81 points with 22 games left to play. How high is up for us? How many points do you think we will end the season with? Tell me what you think.

I have a big smile on my face. Go Caps!

“I am Happy to Be Here as the Team was Built.”

Me too Alex. Me too. :-)  I am happy you are here too. You are being genuine, authentic, joyous and honest in all that you do.

Much is being made of the talk at the game.

I think it is all overblown.

That was a tough and intense game.

Players talk all of the time.

I thought we should have been talking more to the officials as I saw several non calls during the game. And I am pleased there has been no whining from us. We play Pittsburgh one more time in a few weeks but we have a bunch of games in the interim that are just as important starting on Tuesday against the Flyers. Time to calm down and refocus on the next task at hand.
