We aren’t the best team in the NHL and far from it. We have tons of work left to do. Don’t get fooled. We haven’t played our best hockey. We can’t ever get complacent. We also don’t want to rile up the teams that are better than us.
Be humble and don’t believe the hype.

Da Vinci Code
This is so cool. Here is AOL News on Da Vinci and using a SnagFilms widget to express - in a video format - the entire story. Check it out and watch the film.
We Don’t Underrate Backstrom
We know what we have. Nicklas is a very smart and savvy player.
He is perhaps our most well-rounded player. He has super hockey sense. He lugs the puck up ice and sets us up. He plays great D; has great hands; and is selfless. He only wants the team to win. He is a great teammate and he racks up points. And he will play his best in big games. Nicklas is much stronger and tougher than people give him credit for and he will only grow and get even stronger on the puck.
He is one of our foundational players. He loves the city and he loves playing on this team. He is one to build around. I for one am very excited to have him on our team. Another very high draft pick; another brick in the wall.
What is so Funny About Peace, Love and Understanding?
A good post here on Mike Milbury and his visit to Verizon Center last Sunday.
I, of course, didn’t see the game on TV but I have heard the announcers were more respectful to us, our fans and players which is a good thing.
And yes, Mike and I met and I did give him a “hug it out” session straight out of Entourage.
