Mass Hysteria Redux!
First, Alex Ovechkin would not re-sign in DC and the world as we knew it was ending. We saw how that one tuned out: Thirteen years of a deal and a MVP.
Now we won’t be able to keep our team together built around our core of young talent. Japers’ tries to calm the nerves of a nation of nabobs of negativity.
Cap management is key in the new NHL world. Kudos to this blog for trying to make some sense of the numbers.

Not Impressed
I wasn’t impressed with the way we played last night but we got the win and the 2 points.
There is less than a week until the trade deadline. We have back to back games this weekend and the team seems to be a bit distracted. We relied on our talent to get the win. I am grateful that we keep our big lead in the Southeast but we really do have to start bearing down; stay out of the penalty box; and play with more discipline.
All in all, we are satisfied with the results of the game but not on the process to the win.
