Here is an article on our work with NPR to reach out to a larger audience; cross the chasm; and meet new fans. Thanks to the Washington Post for detailing the specifics here.

PG United
Wow, big news here from DC United. There is a new planned stadium and move out to Prince George’s County. A new world class facility will do wonders for the team’s viability and economics.
In this economy, creating a private public partnership is a smart and savvy move. We will miss DC United if they move but a new stadium and world class real estate development is needed to kick start the growth of MLS here in our area. Kudos to DC United if they can get this legislation passed and break ground on new digs.
Question of the Day
So what was the ice quality at MSG last night?
What did the players think about it?
Did it affect the play?
Why no articles on it? What gives?

Odd Game – Take the Point and Be Happy
It was a strange game and a strange third period and shootout during a long season. We will play in games such as this one and be happy with a standings point.
We sure were in the penalty box a lot during the third period, weren’t we? There were some phantom calls out there but I believe, over the season, they all even out.
I was unaware of rule 25.2 regarding shootout goals as was our goaltender, coach and most fans. Live and learn.
The Rangers played desperate hockey last night trying to avoid a season sweep by us. There was a real intensity to the game and it was a fun one to watch as a fan.
Mike Green is now historic. He is in the record books. It is so odd that he didn’t qualify for the All-Star game for whatever logic at that time was out there. But he is now a candidate for the Norris Trophy and leads all D men in points and goals by a wide margin.
Perhaps the wisdom of crowds is overrated?
ON to Florida for the father/son weekend and back to back games. Three road games in a row.
It is time to heal up as well and hope to get some of our key players who were MIA last night back in the lineup.

Then go into fetal position and cry.
This is an important book and very relevant in today’s turbulent times.
Injury Bug is Biting
Semin. Kozlov. Johnson. Clark. Pothier.
Five seasoned and excellent players out of the lineup again.
We will persevere but this has been a very odd season for injuries, big and small.
As I told our VIP Season Ticket Holders last night: To win a championship you need talent, health, luck and magic.
Here is to our getting healthy again…and soon.
