Well…as we know controversy gets people talking. Cherry
got what he wanted and become relevant again with his
attack on Ovechkin.
Does Ovechkin celebrate?
Absolutely! And guess what – he also celebrates just as
much when a teammate scores. The guys just loves playing
and it’s damn fun to watch! I’ve been a CAPS fan for 15+
years and not only is he great for DC (Verizon Center is
totally packed now) but he’s great for Hockey.
The guy is a true highlight reel and it’s not like he
goes over the top celebrating every goal…it’s the big
ones…overtime…on his butt after being pulled down.
Sorry Cherry – anyone who is objective on this one can
see just how biased you are on this.

Focus, Ted, Focus. Back when the media and fan hype was up in a dander over certain Caps (Green/Semin) not being named to the All Star team you brilliantly pointed out (more than once) that the focus is on the TEAM winning the Cup. After three wicked/poor home losses the past week and a half to “lesser” teams (Avs, Panthers, and Hurricanes), you have problems in DC. Who cares what some old man in canada says about one of the players. Focus!
It’s nice to see that there’s some blowback on Cherry for this. The man should have been retired years ago. He’s the true disgrace to hockey, not Alex.
