A Nice Tribute to Abe Pollin

Congratulations to Mr. Abe Pollin. He was inducted into the George Washington University School of Business Sports Executives Hall of Fame today. David Stern made a warm tribute to him and I attended the festivities to show my respect. Check out this blog post for more information.

But I think the attached chart means we are making progress as a franchise.

Check it out. We are 41st best franchise in pro sports as per this analysis and 10th best in the NHL.

Here is a great film about the TED Conference. If you have never attended the event, it is a one of a kind experience. I have attended many times and once gave a presentation as well. It was an honor to be called a TEDster.

The Haney Project

This is a fun show. You won’t believe how bad Charles Barkley’s swing is and how patient a teacher Hank Haney is on this range.

I am enjoying this show. It will be interesting to see if the swing can be rebuilt. 

Felt Like It Was More Than a 1 Point Night

I know it goes into the standings as a loss - and we only garner one point - but it felt like a more uplifting night than that, didn’t it?

We held the Pens to a few quality chances and very few shots. We played with vigor and with discipline.

We came back from a two goal deficit and then lost in the shootout.
