Congratulations to Mr. Abe Pollin. He was inducted into the George Washington University School of Business Sports Executives Hall of Fame today. David Stern made a warm tribute to him and I attended the festivities to show my respect. Check out this blog post for more information.

Abe brought us the Verizon Center and truly changed DC more than any politician ever did/could. He gave to charity and lived an exemplary life. Each night that we get to cheer on the Caps, we have to be a bit thankful and mindful of what he did for the city. Thanks for the tribute Ted.
Hey, have you read David Faulks book “The Bald Truth” - he absolutely destroy’s Abe as being out of touch with reality and what a sham of a sports franchise he runs? It’s painfully obvious that Abe is out of touch with today’s realities in running a sports franchise.
Hello Mr Leonsis,
Not related to this post, but I wanted to comment on the temperature of Verizon Center on Sunday. We’ve only been to about 7 or 8 games so far this season, and Sunday was the first time we were actually cold in there. This on one of the most unseasonably warm days we’ve had this winter. I just wanted to give thanks for your support for the team in regards to the ice quality. It was definitely a lot cooler than some days earlier in the season. Thanks!
