ted I had the pleasure to meet you back in 1999..when the team was at piney orchard..Ive.been a fan awhile my dad turned me on to hockey and the caps back when he would run around with langway after the games..my dad was a cop..and his best friend was capt,brooks who worked the sin bin..I have watched the caps year in and year out..so far to date the best has been the 98 team..you said in 99 you had a 5yr plan to bring this team a cup.since then..not to much..until this season..iam almost 51yrs old and this is a team when all healthy and playing ” caps hockey” has the skill and talent to bring a cup to washington.. brucie the coach is top notch..their are alot of things that have to fall into place to pull this off..as long as ive been a fan this is I feel is the time now this year..not worrying about the tomorrows..there are a few bumps in the road lately but if this team gets back to caps hockey before the playoffs we will raise lord stanley….a little story last nov.when the team was in last place..I started to blog for the first time.on washington cap fox sports..I said that the team under brucie was starting to change..starting to do the little things that would put them in the playoffs..well I wish you could have heard the ka-ka I got..they thought I was crazy..but I stuck to my ” young guns” if you will..and we all know how it turned out..well i feel this way about the team again..they can do this. but please ted this might be the last time you have the team to go to the dance..dont let this slip away..do what you have to.. to get back to caps hockey..that briuns game..the first two periods..was caps hockey..no mistakes and a great pp..defence and a good goalie will win championships..varlamov is the one you want for a back-up come playoff time..and just remember me telling you this..it will the caps and wings again this time a different out come ..because of fedderov..thankyou sir…98caps
Abe Pollin is the reason I’m a Caps fan. When my mom won tickets to a game, and she didn’t use them that season, she wrote a letter to Mr. Pollin asking if she could get tickets to the next season. He wrote back and asked, “What game?”
