A Shutout

Can you figure our team out? I can’t. :-)

We get blown out one night and then pitch a shutout the next night and win 3-0 with the Panthers NOT getting a shot on goal in the third period.
We have 94 points now with 10 games left to play. Anytime a team garners more than 100 points and wins a division championship, it is a successful regular season, wouldn’t you say? I think we are now officially on our way to those milestones, don’t you think?

We can’t coast though. We need to keep winning; racking up points; and playing for an Eastern conference title to get home ice advantage in the playoffs. We need motivation and that is a good one.

The standings are really tight right now. We play Tampa on Thursday and Carolina on Saturday, two more Southeast division opponents on the road. It is amazing that we have played 72 games already this season. It seems like the season literally just started. Go Caps!

  1. Teams are not scared of the caps because they feel that our goaltending is inconsistent. Giving up so many goals to teams well below us in the standings and then having a shutout against a talented Florida offense to me is inconsistent defense and goaltending. I am very hopeful in what the future holds with Varlamov.

  2. when this team plays caps hockey…like Ive said all season and its time…this is the best team in hockey..keep this kinda play up and we will raise lord stanley…before this old caps fan takes a dirt nap….lets go caps…98caps

  3. Hell yeah! See you guys on Saturday, my girlfriend and I are on one of the CRC buses! LETS GO CAPS!

  4. Between the CapsRoadCrew and the Caps Fan Club we’ll have five bus loads of Caps fans headed to Carolina (2 CRC and 3 Caps Fan Club). In addition there will be a bunch of folks who got tix from the CRC driving down on their own. I’d guess that means we’ll have somewhere around 400 Caps fans with both groups combined with the normal amount of Carolina resident Cap fans. And all of us will be in the lower level. Good thing for Carolina they wear red too, so on TV you might not be able to see the difference, but you’ll sure hear it!
