Did you ever think that a Capitals player could become the center of the universe?
One week after the 50th goal was scored; the New York Times keeps the subject matter alive. Click here to read it all.
And a war of words between the New York Times and The Washington Post is born.
Tom Boswell: Your move?
Teddy, It’s amazing to me that anyone would criticize Ovie for having a little or a lot of fun. Especially since he brings so much to the team and the fans and your organization. He has been more than a TEAM PLAYER and you can see he loves it. Nothing wrong with that. I say he should have as much fun as he wants!! These reporters get to be a little TOO much. Lets Go Caps!!!!!!!!
Wow, amazing little piece there. Now, in a perfect world we all hear “feelin’ hot hot hot!” before a faceoff when 8 comes on for a shift. That would be hilarious (if it was ok with Ovie). I love this team and I am chilling for the playoffs.
Ted the national publicity is great but why are you bringing more attention to the fire. Let it go completely. The team needs to concentrate on the playoffs. Talking about how “the hockey media is talking about it too much”, is not doing the team any good.
I am still amazed that this is getting press. Yet last year during playoff coverage the NBC broadcast team laughed and joked over Milbury beating fan in the stands with a shoe. Isn’t that a worse act than a crazy celebration. Get it straight hockey “experts.”
I love Ovies celebrations they always make me smile! He looks like he is having fun? Who cares…and frankly his stick is HOT HOT HOT!
