Watching Big Joe Finley play will be a delight. He has size. He can skate and he is graduating from college. Good for Joe and good for our fans that can potentially go see him play in the Frozen Four Tournament. Good luck Joe! Hope you make the Final Four.
Ted's Take
Very disappointing game yesterday agst Univ of NH. Joe also had some problems in last year’s NCAA playoffs. Yet, in 4 years at No Dakota, he was a net +67 or thereabouts. I am confident he will flourish in Hershey, IF he signs with the Caps, and gets good coaching. Ted – your personal involvement to encourage Joe to sign with us is appreciated!! Joe would become an unrestricted FA (without compensation) effective Aug 15, I believe.
He is the Caps prospect that I want to see in the NHL the most. I’m really hoping that he is slightly underrated, which is common when evaluating defensive defensemen, and will become a star shut down man, which is what the Caps need.
