Gulp. A very moving film.
A beautifully directed film.
A taboo subject and a film that shines the light on a gut-wrenching subject.
This is worth your time this weekend. Watch it now on SnagFilms.

Portals are really all about email; messaging; stock quotes; and – of course - search. Yahoo mail; AOL mail; Hotmail are the big drivers of clicks. It amazes me that the portals don’t double down on communications and make mail, messaging and the address book better; cleaner; faster; and spam free! What could possibly be more important?
News, music and movies sneak in a bit as content sites and some other functionality for video and audio playing. But specialists are winning here: Hulu, YouTube, ESPN, CNN, Google News, etc. etc. It is hard for a portal to win in specialist areas.
We are in a slump.
Teams slump.
Boston lost again last night to a team behind them in the standings. Had we won the last three games at home, we would be right on their heels now for first place in the East. In our last ten games, we are 5-5. In Boston’s last ten games, they are 3-7.
Size is the enemy of being nimble.
I ate at the Cheesecake Factory right next to ESPN Zone last night. We are all over Baltimore now.
Check out Nasty’s blog post here.
Show me the money.
This is an interesting article. While I am flattered, we shouldn’t forget that Alex Ovechin signed the biggest deal in NHL history. It isn’t like we didn’t invest in him or visa versa. Check this one out here.
Check this one out on SnagFilms. It is a deeply moving and personal journey to help. Rock and roll and religion all wrapped up into a unique world view.
I would add one thought: It is because we haven’t won anything yet that we have to see how the plan unfolds. Why alter the plan when we don’t know how the movie will end?
Why remove great young prospects such as Alzner, Carlson and Varlamov when we don’t know what they can contribute to us but we certainly know how much they are coveted now around the NHL.
Perhaps patience will be a virtue?
As I said, time will tell.
Yesterday wasn’t a landscape altering day in the NHL. In the past, the NHL trading deadline was a Wild West show with teams desperate to alter their lineup; teams desperate to shed payroll; teams desperate to start rebuilding; and some teams desperate to try to win the Stanley Cup “right now” by adding that one key player to “allegedly” get them over the top.
Having been a hockey dad for my son, I know the sacrifice and time and energy and money expended to allow our child to enjoy the game.
Here is a really sweet article on the growth of youth hockey and the booming market for us in our area.
Thank you for all you do Moms and Dads and local rink operators. You folks deserve our ongoing thanks.
