The crossover continues. The swindle is live. I love this stuff.

The Wrap on SnagFilms Update
Here is a good piece on the latest and greatest from SnagFilms. I am very proud of our progress to date. To hit 330 million page views since July’s launch is an amazing stat! We are making good progress. Please support us by snagging a film widget; opening a virtual movie theater; or supporting a filmmaker and a charity today.
Nice Press for SnagFilms
Here is an interview with SnagFilms CEO Rick Allen. Check it out.
Thanks Dan
Great stats here. Check out this blog post - very enlightening!
To Be Really Good – You Have to Be Really Bad
Here is an interesting article in which I tend to agree. Look around the league. The teams that have gotten really good for the most part have done it mostly through the draft.
Accumulating high draft picks is usually a good way to rebuild.
The historic or great players are picked in the top 10 players in the draft. The best of the best are usually picked in the top 3 or 4.
We have been fortunate in that our young core - Ovechkin, Semin, Backstrom and Green - have all been drafted by us in the first round, groomed and developed within our system. Some came to us via a trade of a vet player where we got a first round pick in return and some came where we earned the pick by being really bad the season before. There is a price to pay for picking high sad to say. Without pain, it is hard to get gain as far as the draft is concerned.
The Long Road Back
I am very happy for Brian Pothier. He will make his long anticipated return to the NHL on this road trip.
I was in Boston at the game when he was injured. I have spoken to Brian and offered my encouragement and support to him and his family over the last two years. His safety and well-being are our main concerns. His career is secondary to us and to him.
Now That was Entertaining…
…And maddening; and fun; and scary all at the same time.
It was a goofy game. We won 2 points and we didn’t suffer any significant injuries so I am happier than sad.
But we have to tighten up again. I would prefer to see us winning 2 to 1 rather than 5 to 4 in a shootout.
Wale is Genius
Wale rocked the red. Wale loves Ovechkin and was a lot of fun.
This is great stuff within.
Of course my son knew Wale’s words and rap. I had only heard one song but he is going on my iPod now.
Go Caps! We are crossing over.
Local Boy Makes Good
Wow - I am so happy to link to this article. The Clementes are friends and I brought these great folks in to meet some of our players. I am very proud of Michael and how he is playing for Brown University.
Big Game Tonight
We only have five more home games this season and tonight is a big one.
We play a tough and desperate and fairly hot team in the Hurricanes.
They are focused on the playoffs. We are focused on a division title; our place in the Eastern Conference; and the playoffs as well.
The Southeast Division may place 3 teams in the playoffs this season with the Caps, Carolina and Florida battling for spots.
I look forward to seeing you all tonight and to Rocking the Red. See this game day preview on WashingtonCaps.com.
