Humbled Indeed

We have two games left to play on the road, a possible four points available for the taking.

We need two more points to make this Caps team the most successful team in franchise history in terms of points garnered in the regular season.

One more point will guarantee us the second seed in the East for the playoffs.

Two more points would also mean we have played quite well leading up to the playoffs in terms of generating points and doing what we had to do compared to our competition that was trying to catch us in the standings.

I am humbled by your support. Thank you for the great TV ratings and for buying all of the playoff tickets available that went on sale yesterday. We have sold out every game. We can be assured of loud and proud Red Outs come playoff time.

Thank you again. Go Caps!

  1. I’ve been coming to games since 1985-86, and I can say without a doubt, this is the *best* Capitals team that has ever taken the ice….ever.

  2. Hey Ted –

Thanks for building this team, they are soooooo much fun to cheer for.

On another note, I received a recorded phone call from Coach Boudreau the other night that was a hoot…ROCK THE RED!

  3. The nice thing is that we don’t know the opponent so opposing fans can’t invade (though when games 3/4 go on sale, that could change).

  4. yeah the ushers are great, seriously I feel like they have stepped up their game lately, seriously

  5. Ted,

While I am excited about the possibility of Red Outs, there are over 1200 Tickets available on StubHub for Game 1 alone. Many of these are obviously blocks purchased by Ticket Brokers who would sell to whomever gives them a penny more. With the rising popularity of the Team has there been a thought on how to deal with Brokers who have turned the VC into the Igloo South or Buffalo South?

  6. Jessie – Nice. Then they could open the game with the clip from A Few Good Men. “DID YOU ORDER THE CODE RED??” “YOURE G.D. RIGHT I DID!”

  7. I’m so proud of the boys! And a great job done by the whole organization, right down to the Verizon staff and ushers.
