We have never seen this kind of coverage in the Washington Post paper and online. This package of information is the most complete I have ever experienced for a playoff series. We appreciate your investment of time, people resources, ink and pixels in covering our team. Click here to see all of the coverage.
Caps fans - with the Washington Post, Washington Times, Washington Examiner, Baltimore Sun and Comcast – our local TV affiliates and the blogosphere are all humming. There is no shortage of information about the Capitals and this series. Well done all. We appreciate it very much as do our fans.
This high level of interest is another great sign for the team, the community and the fan base. I hope we can live up to the hype.
I agree with that. We bash the loca media when they don’t cover the Caps. We should applaud them when they do give us good coverage.
I don’t usually comment, but for a long time now I’ve wanted to stop by here and thank you.
You’re one of a handful of owners who not only care about their team, not only are willing to spend hard-earned money, but also have the patience to recognize some errors and build a franchise the right way. So full marks for that, and I hope the team wins one for you as well as for the rest of us Caps’ fans.
It’s also pretty remarkable that you’re so open to interacting with fans, even after having to plead with them to show a little common courtesy once in a while. I’ve done my share of complaining about the Caps in the past, but there’s only so much complaining that one can reasonably do when the team is 2nd in the conference!
Anyway, so great job, stay the course, and good luck! Go Caps!
Ted,
I was amazed at the coverage in the Washington Post Today! Not only was the front page of the Sports page almost completely Caps with interesting articles by Mike Wise, Sally Jenkins, and Tarik El-Bashir but, a wonderful article on “our Russian players” on the front page of the paper! It is about time the Caps received the coverage by the media that the other teams in this area get and very well needed, never thought I would see this day come, GO CAPS, and ROCK THE RED!
My API Sports twitter site is No. 6 in Baltimore, mostly thanks to the interest generated by Caps updates. Enjoy doing it…hockey blog to go up today! Good luck.
Win one and make Washingtonians proud. Your organization is a shining example of how to do it right.
