When All is Said and Done…

…Usually more is said than done.

We don’t have to say too much now. It is win or go home.

We know it. Our fans know it. The media knows it.

The New York Post today blared a headline this morning “Lundvquist Set to Cap-ture Series”. Get it?

We are in a 3-1 hole and not many people are expecting us to climb out of it.

It is put up or shut up.

See you tonight at Verizon. Rock the Red. Be loud and proud. Go Caps!

  1. Teddy. It’s one game at a time. And this was one GREAT GAME. D.C. is rocking the red. Way To Go Caps!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. My heavens, what message boards has Ovi been reading? We have the best player in the league, and he hasn’t even reached his peak. He shouldn’t ever leave Washington.

My realistic hope for this year was a first round series win. This team has heights yet to climb.

  3. Thank you very much for this. This is exactly the attitude I’ve been hoping to see/hear. It’s win or lose. It’s the same situation as last season when the Caps took games 5 and 6. If the team does it again anything can happen. There is nothing else to say. Just hit the ice and play. Go Caps!

  4. Please tell Alex that he should know that the fans love him and the team and he should read the message boards with caution. He also should listen to you and drive with a little caution! I think most true fans do believe in the team and that this can be done. Alex is the heart and soul of the team. Go CAPS!

  5. you are exactly right.though this different from last year,i still think we haven’t seen the best of this young team.bring on tonight.

  6. Just a couple of comments:
    > love the game, love the team, love the team’s direction
    > don’t interview players at intermission. It adds absolutely zero to the game experience – would rather have player’s heads in the game from opening face-off to final whistle
    > took my 6 year old son to game 2 – his first hockey game ever. As we settled, the sound was ABSOLUTELY DEAFENING. Before the opening face-off, my son was in tears “I want to go home, it’s TOO LOUD!!” Actually, i agree with him. Can we bring the sound down a few decibel levels? We’ll still be pumped up, i promise..

    go Caps!!!!

  7. I have a weird calm about this game. From the looks of your entry, it looks like you do. It is because we know there is only so much to be said. The analysis and preparation can only take you so far. It’s time to perform now. Regardless of the outcome, I can’t be upset. This team has brought me so many moments of joy this season that I can’t help but be proud. I just hope they know that we are proud to have them here and that they go out there tonight and skate with that in their minds. It’s not over yet. LETS GO CAPS. DON’T STOP BELIEVING.
